Let’s talk about Writey’s latest update! As you probably know by now, we’re all about giving your handwriting practice that extra boost of motivation.
Now, Writey has a star system. These stars will make you keep you striving for better handwriting, lesson by lesson.
How Does It Work?
Here’s how it works: Each lesson now comes with three stars at the top, starting off empty. As you work through your writing exercises, Writey tracks how precise and accurate your work is. Did you really nail that elegant curve or perfect those connecting lines? If yes, a star gets filled in. Earn 1, 2, or all 3 stars depending on how well you’ve done.
You can always keep refining your practice and earning even more stars!
There’s also an overall star score displayed at the top of each lesson, so you can see at a glance how you’re doing. It’s like having a progress tracker that’s visual and satisfying. Watching those stars fill up feels pretty rewarding. Plus, it pushes you to aim higher each time.
To improve your handwriting and earn more stars, simply click on the lesson or navigate to it and start writing from the beginning. If your handwriting improves this time, Writey will automatically recognize it and reward you with the stars your handwriting truly deserves.
Need to remove the stars from a lesson entirely? Just open the lesson and hit the undo or back button.
If you’re practicing cursive, improving your calligraphy, or exploring a new handwriting style, this update makes it all a little more engaging. The goal isn’t to add pressure—it’s to inspire progress and make your practice sessions more interactive.
