Neat handwriting might seem like a small thing, but it can actually be super helpful in a lot of ways. You don’t need to be an expert to make your writing look good!
Why Would You Need to Write Neatly and Quickly?
Sometimes, you need to write fast but still make sure it’s readable. A good example is students. During class, you have to take notes while listening, and the teacher won’t always slow down for you. It’s up to you to keep up and get the important stuff written down.
You also need speed during exams. With limited time, you’ve got to write your answers quickly. Being able to write fast and clear could be the difference between passing or not.
It’s not just students though. For those of you who write down their inspiration, or creative ideas, being able to write down quickly is super helpful. That way, you don’t lose the thought before it’s gone, but at the same time you will be able to actually read your handwriting later!
Let’s learn some easy tips to help you get started:
It’s kinda important to find a pen that feels good in your hand. Try a few out and see what feels smooth when you write. The right pen makes everything easier.
If you’re using apple pencil, and it feels slippery in your hand, you can use a grip holder.
If you’re gripping your pen really tight, your hand’s gonna get tired fast, and your writing will get messy. Keep a relaxed, light grip. It gives you more control and makes your letters look smoother.

Practice Similar Letters Together
Some letters like “a,” “o,” and “e” because they’re all round. Practice them in groups, so your hand gets used to those similar shapes.
After that, practice the other letter groups, like “m,” “n,” and “h” for the tall ones.
You don’t need to spend hours practicing. Just 5-10 minutes a day would be great. Write down your favorite words, and try to practice them over and over again.
If you’re using writey, go to the Practice Section and add your own words and practice tracing them.

There’s also the Words to Practice More section where you can find a lot of frequesnt and useful wrods.

Finally in My Practice Papers, you see empty papers for freestyle practicing.

Remember, if you ever felt like all of this is too much, you can always go back to the trainings section and focus on the basics.
