Every Handwriting Style You Could Want

Meet Writey on Web: Your New Favorite Way to Practice Handwriting

Honestly, one of the best parts about Writey on Web is the variety of handwriting styles you can practice. We’re not talking about one generic font. You get a lot of options that let you choose exactly what you want to learn and practice.

There’s Simple Alphabet, which takes you through letters step by step if you’re just starting out or helping someone else learn. Print Writing gives you that clean, everyday handwriting most of us use for notes and lists. Then there’s Simple Cursive, which introduces you to connected writing without overwhelming you, and regular Cursive for that smooth, stylish flow. If you’re ready to level up, Cursive Pro takes things further with more advanced techniques.

But we didn’t stop there. Neat Writing focuses on clarity and organization, the kind of handwriting that’s always legible and looks put-together. Italic Neat brings in elegant slanted letters with precision. Script Calligraphy gives you trendy, beautiful writing that looks like it belongs on wedding invitations. Then there’s classic Calligraphy, the timeless art of beautiful writing itself. Copperplate gives you that graceful, classic calligraphy style, and Spencerian is basically America’s most beautiful handwriting, the kind that makes everything you write look like a work of art.

Each style has a purpose, and you can explore whichever one suits yours best.

A Tablet and a Stylus is All You Need

Writey web app is designed specifically for stylus use. I know, you might be thinking, “Can’t I just use my finger?” Sure, technically you can, but to be honest writing with your finger wont give you that  that pen-on-paper feel that actually builds muscle memory the way learning handwriting with a stylus does.

The web app is smooth, responsive, and built to work seamlessly with your stylus. It supports Samsung tablet, Chromebook or basically any touchscreen device with stylus support.

A Roadmap That Actually Makes Sense

Here’s why I think Writey is actually a great teacher. Each handwriting style isn’t just a collection of random worksheets. It’s a complete, structured course with a clear roadmap.

Look, you can jump into any section and start practicing wherever you want. But here’s what we’ve done: we’ve built a complete, step-by-step roadmap for anyone who wants to learn properly from the very very first step. Here’s the roadmap:

It Starts With Training

Every course begins with Training. Guys seriously…don’t skip this part. This is where you learn the basic hand movements specific to that handwriting font. It’s like warming up before a workout. You’re training your hand and brain to move in the way this particular style requires. Different handwriting styles need different movements, different pressure, different flow. Training gets you ready.

The Letters

After training, you move to the backbone of handwriting: the letters themselves. There are 26 lessons where you learn both lowercase and uppercase letters. Each lesson focuses on one letter, giving you the time and space and more importantly enough repetition to really understand how it’s formed and how it flows.

Numbers

Then you’ve got 10 lessons for numbers 0 through 9. I know this might seem like an afterthought, but it’s not. If you’re learning a handwriting style, you need to be able to write the numbers in that style too. Imagine learning beautiful Spencerian script but your numbers look like print handwriting. It doesn’t work. So Writey makes sure you can write complete, cohesive handwriting, numbers included.

Connecting Letters (For Cursive Styles)

For certain styles courses, like the cursive ones, there are also lessons specifically for connecting letters. This is huge because cursive isn’t just individual letters written next to each other. The flow of the letters and how they connects to each other also matters. Writey gives you dedicated practice for these connections, so you’re know how write smoothly.

The Exciting Part: Pre-Made Worksheets

Now for the exciting part. When I said we’ve created a structured roadmap so you don’t have to think about your next step, I meant it. Writey has entire categories of pre-made worksheets ready for you to practice, which means you never have to sit there and wonder what words you should write now.

There are A to Z Words worksheets that give you complete vocabulary practice, working through words alphabetically. It’s perfect when you want comprehensive practice covering a wide range of letter combinations without having to plan anything yourself.

The Calendar Words worksheets focus on days of the week, months of the year, and other time-related vocabulary. This is incredibly practical because these are words you actually use regularly in real life. When you’re writing dates on birthday cards, filling out forms, or keeping a planner, these are the exact words you need to write confidently.

And then there are Practice Words collections, which are curated sets of common, useful words that give you well-rounded practice. These aren’t random words pulled from a dictionary. They’re chosen specifically to help you work on different letter combinations and connections that come up frequently in everyday writing. It’s thoughtful, intentional practice that actually builds your skills.

Why Writey Changes Your Learning Experience

Introducing Writey Web App: Your New Favorite Way to Practice Handwriting

Let me tell you why Writey is designed in a way that completely changes your learning experience. Writey is the best app out there for learning handwriting, and here’s why:

Writey doesn’t just give you the exercises and leave you to figure it out yourself. It actually guides you through the process in a way that makes sense. You’ve got a clear and structured path forward.

How? Well we’ve added a lot of features like tracing animation of each letter or even words, and categorizing each learning block from basic training to words.

You get instant feedback as you write (ok, good, perfect) , so you’re not stuck wondering if you’re doing things right. You know immediately. That’s important because it means you’re correcting mistakes as they happen, not reinforcing bad habits for weeks before realizing something’s off.

Each lesson comes with a simple star system ⭐️  that quietly tracks how accurate your writing is. It makes progress feel real without being stressful. You’re not being graded or judged. You’re just seeing, in a clear and simple way, how you’re improving. And based on your entire performance of that lesson you get one to three stars.

And if you still have doubts about whether physical worksheets are better or Writey’s, I wrote a blog about it. Feel free to check it out.
